International Game Technology (IGT) has been awarded iCAP Ready accreditation by the National Council on Problem Gambling (NCPG) for its ilottery business.
IGT said it is the first gaming supplier to be recognised by the Internet Compliance Assessment Program Ready scheme, which has been updated from the original iCAP.
The program uses best practices from the Internet Responsible Gambling Standards to ensure suppliers implement and maintain responsible gaming policies, provide effective staff training and offer suitable player support tools.
“With Advancing Responsibility as a core pillar of IGT's Sustainable Play program, we aim to meet and exceed responsible gaming standards as a trusted supplier to ensure that our customers are provided with the necessary tools to keep their players safe and promote positive play,” said Wendy Montgomery, IGT’s senior vice president of marketing, communications and sustainability.
The accreditation was awarded after an audit of IGT’s responsible gaming policies and practices by an independent agency, the company said.
A third party also conducted an overall compliance assessment on IGT to ensure it met the iCAP Ready requirements.
