VdW International toasts half a century in the amusement industry with Ryan Molyneux.
This year marks a major anniversary for VdW International. For half a century, it has been a strong name in the amusements industry, starting small and growing into a worldwide business.
The company comes from humble beginnings. In 1974, Vincent Van de Wege started a small business in Brussels, Belgium, which specialised in selling spare parts for amusement games. “At that time amusement games were limited to billiards, darts, table football, jukeboxes and pinballs,” says his son and managing director, Laurent Van de Wege. “Video games and coin-op machines as we see them today were not yet present,” he continues.
