A social networking event at the close of the first day of EAG in London’s ExCeL saw outgoing EAG chairman Martin Burlin receive a presentation of an inscribed crystal bowl from Bacta president John Bollom.
The award was in consideration of Burlin’s 15-year tenure of the responsibility for delivering the EAG show on behalf of Bacta.
Bollom pointed out that Martin hailed from a family operating business and had served as association president and on several committees in his career.
“Having attended the old ATEI show as a young man, he went on to serve as chairman of ATE Ltd and took control of the EAG show from its inception in 2010.
“Having steered EAG from strength to strength, through the turbulence of Covid and now expanding with the casino and social immersive expos, Martin has now decided to step back and pass the torch on.”
Martin Burlin expressed his appreciation of the accolade and wished good fortune to his successor, Nick Harding, while Martin himself will remain in an advisory capacity on the EAG board.
