Lee Wild chats to pinball enthusiast Hamish Guthrey about creating a space for the New Zealand pinball crowd.

Ye Olde Pinball Shoppe

While I imagine most readers of this publication have an appreciation for pinball in some sense, it can sometimes be quite a niche hobby. It can be difficult to find tables in some of the biggest cities on the planet, so when you’re located in a country with just a little over five million people, passionate people matter.

One of the most passionate people I’ve ever spoken to when it comes to pinball is Hamish Guthrey, chief enthusiast of Ye Olde Pinball Shoppe, a pinball arcade located just off the waterfront in New Zealand’s capital, Wellington.
