In an increasingly digitised industry, the battle for dominance between cashless systems and classic coin-operated models rages on. The convenience of cashless ticketed systems is hard to argue with, for both operators and customers, but the nostalgic pull of coin-op machines is also hard to dismiss; customers are creatures of habit after all.
Surely an industry this big can accommodate both models, though. In a modern marketplace that caters for the niches and specific tastes of different operators and customers, a wide range of machines can surely exist side by side.
