London’s EAG trade show closed its doors yesterday after a three-day run that saw visitors from 83 different countries join their UK colleagues at the ExCeL show venue in the capital’s Docklands.

The statistics from the show are still in course of preparation, said show director Nicola Lazenby, but they were virtually certain to be up overall, given the expansion of the event with the new Social Immersive Entertainment Expo.

A dozen companies took part in the SIEE, which was designed for the growing trend towards adult-oriented venues with competitive games.

“The feedback we have received suggests that the balance was right,” said Lazenby, “The SIEE was well received and added another dimension to the traditional show.”

The event was staged by trade association Bacta and was the 16th in the series.
