The Bacta Awards for contributions to the UK amusement industry saw Stephen Lawrence named High Street Hero.
Bacta president John Bollom told the assembled industry at the day one evening networking event that Stephen had worked in the high street AGC sector for over 30 years from customer service assistant through to operations director at Godden Gaming.
The second award of the evening, for staff working in the industry supply chain and operators who "play a vital role in helping to deliver fun and entertainment to communities across the country," went to Nadia Timofeev of Blueprint Operations.
Bollom said that the Supply Chain Champion had taken on several roles in her 12 years at Blueprint rising to become operations director.
As Nadia was currently climing Mount Kilimanjaro in Kenya, the award was received on her behalf by Sam Hempshall.
Finally, there was the Seaside Saviour award and this went to Michelle Hocking, who was also unable to be present and the award was taken on her behalf by Hugh Lewis.
Bollom said that Michelle had been nominated for the Seaside Saviour Award by her whole team for the work she had carried out supporting her colleagues at Inspired Entertainment.
Michelle went through the Future Leaders programme at Inspired and subsequently took on the management of multiple FECs on holiday parks across Scotland.
“In this capacity Michelle has kept her team motivated with her infectious positivity and delivered a fantastic experience for holidaymakers.”
