Local authorities have given the green light for a new indoor go-karting centre to open in Sheffield, UK.
The venue located around three miles from the city centre is expected to be operated by BattleKart, an indoor electric karting experience that uses augmented reality to provide an immersive video game environment to its guests.
The planning document described the concept as having “gained significant popularity across Europe, with 14 complexes currently in operation and six more in development.”
The plans show a reception area, a briefing and locker room as well as a café on the venue’s second floor with the intention of serving simple cold food and hot drinks.
