Winder, who rose to group finance director at SSG in his seven years there, also took in a stint at the Football Association as group financial controller earlier in his career.

Now, he will use his finance experience to bolster the UK-facing side of QiH’s business.

He will support the company’s growth, set out longer-term strategies and work with each department on profit and loss goals.

Winder, who started on Friday, November 1, said: “After a wonderful and rewarding seven years with SSG, it’s great to be moving to a young company with the reputation for  innovation, growth and compliance that QiH Group has.

“Having watched the affiliate’s progress from the outside these past four years, it will be extremely fulfilling to be part of the action.”

Winder’s appointment completes QiH Group’s recent hiring spree for its C-level suite, including chief operating officer Andrew Lee and chief technology officer Sachin Saxena.

Jamie Walters, CEO and founder of QiH Group, said Winder is an “integral part of the formula” to support the company’s growth.
