Total gaming revenue in New Jersey, US, rose nine per cent year-on-year across 2024, with igaming making the strongest progress of any vertical.
The New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement (DGE) reported total 2024 revenue of US$6.3bn, up from $5.78bn across 2023.
Igaming showed the most growth of any vertical throughout 2024, with revenue rising 24.1 per cent to $2.39bn from $1.92bn in 2023.
Sports wagering revenue rose 8.7 per cent in 2024 to $1.09bn from $1.01bn in 2023.
However, land-based casino revenue fell 1.1 per cent in the year to $2.82bn.
In December, total revenue climbed 0.1 per cent year-on-year from $522.2m to $522.6m.
In a similar trend, igaming showed the most growth, with revenue rising 26.5 per cent from $180.3m to $228m.
Sports betting and land-based casino revenue in New Jersey both fell in December, although the drop in sports betting revenue was significantly clearer than in the casino sector.
Wagering revenues for the month fell 42.6 per cent from $109.4m to $62.8m.
Casino revenue fell 0.3 per cent from $232.4m to $231.8m.
