The Seminole Tribe has set Thursday, February 6 as the date for the grand opening of its Brighton Bay Hotel & Casino venue in Florida, US.

The opening will be a ticketed event for invited guests, with rock band Lynyrd Skynyrd performing for the attendees.

The new resort is one of six casinos owned and operated by the Seminole Tribe of Florida and will replace the existing Seminole Casino Brighton. It will sport a gaming floor of almost 38,000sq.ft and feature 640 slot machines and 18 gaming tables, including a smoke-free area.

"We are all eagerly awaiting our official opening on February 6," said Marty Johns, general manager. "It will be such a special moment for the Seminole Tribe of Florida, the Brighton Seminole Reservation, and the entire region.

“This new resort is expected to increase the number of tourists to the area, which is especially important. We are excited to offer a new level of gaming, dining and entertainment."
